“Dear participants, dear everyone,
This year I have had the great honor of judging IGP.3 Group B and C at the Nordic Championship, it is a task that I have been looking forward to, and I hope that all participants as well as leaders will have an unforgettable good experience in Nynäshamn Sweden.
I have been asked to write a little about my background, I have been in dog sports for about 40 years, for the first 20 years I was a trainer and Gr.C helper, but at some point my back started telling me that it would be a good idea to stop helping the work, and then I was encouraged to take the training to be a judge, and I have been for 22 years now, I have been to Norway and Sweden and judge their championships, and then I have had the great honor to judge the FCI-IGP-FH WC in Hungary 2021 In Denmark, I have been a judge at over 50 different championships + at many selections for these championships.
Throughout my dog life I have always had German Shepherds, but find great joy in judging all types of breeds
Over the years I have of course trained quite a few dogs for IGP. tests, at the moment I train a lot of tracks with my dog and also take part in quite a few track tests and hope that I can qualify for the Danish championship in October.
Best regards,
Erik Ahrends”

I have competed only in search, but I have been training also tracking with my dogs.
